I guess it also depends on shipping costs i don't know about faberdashery but colorfabb ships for free if you buy 4 spools or more (for europe).

And for a coil of 85 meters (about 748g or 542cc) from faberdashery you pay 29.75 pounds without shipping (36.18€)

Same amount for colorfabb is 36.30€ so yes 0.12€ more

First of all: As I wrote, my calculation is without shipping costs.

Second point: It is new that Colorfabb ships for free from 4 spools or more. I ordered last month and at this point I had to pay € 10.- for shipping. Now it is only € 7.95 - 4.95 or for free if you order 4 spools or more - which is an great development

Third point: Don't know which color you choose at faberdashery but it is not a standard color. Your price of 29.75 pound fits to the color 'desert tan' as an example. In this case it would be more intelligent to buy 100m (880 gram) for 28.- pounds ;)

But you are right, the shipping costs at faberdashery are too expensive particularly now that Colorfabb ships much cheaper.

By the way the standard colors are even cheaper at faberdashery: standard black, 100m = 880gr: 24.- pounds = € 29,14 :p

    for me in the UK

4 coils (3520g) of white from faberdashey plus shipping £108

4 spools (3000g) of white colorfabbs free shipping € 145

    addition: £108 = € 131,13

    or:

    faberdashery: 3.73 Cent/gram

    colorfabb: 4.83 Cent/gram

    ------

I love to split hairs ;):p

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
