Ultimaker featured in Spits Nieuws!

Recommended Posts

Today’s edition of the Dutch free newspaper ‘Spits Nieuws’ contains a half-page article about 3D-printing. The article is about the current state of the technology both in medical and home applications and of course the possibilities that lie ahead, citing our own Martijn Elserman and showing off the Ultimaker (with a really big picture!) as ‘one of the first 3D printers for the consumer’:

We will also feature in some other media very soon…

Behind the screens we are of course busy as ever working on production (and capacity), support and development. We have some open positions – help us make a difference in how and where things are made!

    • "Back To The Future" using Generative Design & Investment Casting
Designing for light-weight parts is becoming more important, and I’m a firm believer in the need to produce lighter weight, less over-engineered parts for the future. This is for sustainability reasons because we need to be using less raw materials and, in things like transportation, it impacts the energy usage of the product during it’s service life.
