Arjan: Still considering on going actually (the 6th that is), the wife wants to combine it with shopping (gonna be an expensive weekend). If we manage to book, perhaps we can all meet up? :)

Unfortunately I don't have that option, the wife loves the 3D print stuff by now and she saw there will be printed jewellery as well (unstoppable).

We just booked flights and the hotel (4 - 6 september). Bye bye 600€.

So yeah, would be nice to meet up there :)

    How about a rB&B?

I have never used it, but you should be able to rent like affordable rooms.

    Cool :)

Perhaps we should let you guys organise something? It'll be a lot busier for you I guess, we can accommodate.

Sander we decided to make it a full weekend city trip so we'll be arriving friday morning and staying until sunday evening. That should also include a good hotel so we booked in the http://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/hilton-london-canary-wharf.en-gb.html :)

Well you have picked out a good show to visit!!

And I would count on me to organise something, at the moment there is too much on my plate already.

But a simple bar would be sufficient right? :)

Are you going to be manning the UM stand Sander?

Sander: I was simply referring to "time slot wise" :)

A bar would indeed suffice, not much organising to do there.

The Billingsgate area is completely zombie-apocalypse-deserted during the weekend and boring. Most of the Pubs serve the city crowd and are closed Saturday. They are rammed weekdays from about 4-8 and empty after that once the suits have gone.

To find anything I'd recommend a hop over the river to the Borough Market area. Lots of cool pubs here, my favourite being the The Market Porter :)

    Good to know :)

What would be the best way (read cheapest) to get from Heathrow to Canary Wharf, if I'm allowed to abuse your knowledge a bit?

Tube would be the cheapest... Change at Green Park...but it also takes forever. Heathrow Connect is quite good. It comes reasonably quickly from Heathrow to Paddington. From there you'd had to continue with tube again.

Looks like I'm going to spend a weekend in England too, Saturday for 3D printing show in London and Sunday meeting a dear friend in Cambridge.

The hunt is on for cheap flight and hotel (for as far as possible in London ;-) ).

Anyone decide on a pub for the evening yet?

Just booked a night ferry and Hotel in London :-)

Was wondering about tickets to the event it self. In advance it's 22.50 + 2.50 and on the day 25.00, sounds the same to me. So I think I just buy them on the day, that way if I need to change plans I save 25.00. Or is there an other reason for getting a ticket in advance?

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
