Sander well except for the big brand name there was little difference between your stand and the others. They basically all had UM2s and printed stuff. My wife and I said to each other that you have to look at the posters because the material is alike almost everywhere :)

As I said: I don't have a clue how you would distinguish yourself being a printer fabricator instead of for example a "shapeways clone" (if i can be so disrespectful), but it didn't really stand out to me. Perhaps it's just me having unrealistic expectations, dunno. I guess I came there expecting to be bedazzled by my favorite brand :)

I've just put a big stack of mostly unsorted pictures in the gallery....

The thing I found interesting was the student (material science?) who worked on finding binding materials to print very strong with soil, wants it to get stronger than reinforced contrete.

In the "I want one" category I liked the fuel3D scanner, here's the discount code if you want one...

These guys where claiming the main limiting factor for printspeed on an UM was the electronics..... ther board would speed things up a lot ;)

Doubtfull if it does. They power their cardrige with 12 volt, so they probably power their motors with the same voltage. Increasing the voltage is the only thing that would speed it up.

Good afternoon everybody. After discussing the 3d Printshow with Sander I thought it would be a good idea to get on the forums and ask for some constructive feedback about how we can improve the representation at these large events. Our new team members really enjoyed interacting with the community and learnt a lot so thanks if you came and said hi!

After visiting the Printshow the 3Dprinting virus hit me again.

I was impressed what, after not watching 3D printing for nearly 1 year, is possible today.

I was impressed of the stuff you have printed on your machine. I am considering buying one when I have saved some money.

My two main reasons for this are

    1. The fantastic prints and running printers on your stand
    2. All the UM² machines on the stands of other participants of the print show. There must be a reason that they use the UM².

    Markus

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
