Printing Large Files

Recommended Posts

Posted · Printing Large Files

I found that I can't load a large gcode file into Replicatorg. When I cut and pasted the file into RepG, I found I could only get about half of the file in. If I go below 75% on the level of detail in NetFabb, I start to get distortion in the model. Any suggestions on how to get this file to print?

did you try printing it with printerface (kliment/cura)? afaik, it has little to no problem printing large files.

Also, it would be interesting to know how large "Large" is. I haven't printed really huge objects but my biggest file was 20megs and that printed just fine in Printrun.

20mb works fine in repG, but if you go above 50mb it will slow down significally due to the amount that has to be loaded into the memory (at that time I think you should stick with the ultipanel)
