Hello everyone..

I'm George and I'm really happy to join this community. There is a lot to learn from you and hopefully I will be able to return the favor in the future :)

At the moment I'm searching for the right printer and UM2 is really nice choice for me. If it had dual extrusion it would be already in my office. But there isnt any reason for me to rush the buy, so I'll w8 for a few more months so I could do research on other printers as well OR... you will provide the UM2 with dual extruders :)

Keep up the good work guys! You are great!

The dual extruder is still up in the air as far as I can tell. Power supply problems, software problems, etc.... been waiting for dual myself. UM3 release date ?? wouldn't hold out for that.

when picking out a printer this is a good question to ask yourself.

Do I want to work WITH my printer? (aka buy a good one that works out the of box)

Or do I want to work ON my printer? (aka buy a kit, rebuild an old one, need good geek skills)

Ultimaker is like buying apple products. $$$ Mine worked right out of box happy with purchase. Lot of good deals on machines out there.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
