Cura's Marlin is different than the one on GitHub

Recommended Posts

Posted · Cura's Marlin is different than the one on GitHub

So I followed both the link to http://marlinbuilder.robotfuzz.com and https://github.com/Ultimaker/Marlin and https://github.com/ErikZalm/Marlin , but I couldn't find the same version of Marlin which is uploaded on the Ultimaker Original from Cura.[/url]

I noticed there are several main differences in Cura's Marlin and the others on GitHub, one of which being homing (Cura's Marlin does both X and Y at the same time, while the others all do 1 axis at time) and another the behavior of the fan when pre-heating the material.

Does anyone know where I can find the version of Marlin which is uploaded from Cura?

Your link points back at this page?

The Marlin that ships with Cura is Ultimaker's fork:

https://github.com/Ultimaker/Marlin

But that should be pretty close to the original EriKZalm version it is forked from.

Behaviors like homing one or both axes, and probably the fan behavior you mention, are just settings that can be set up in configuration.h before compiling.

Hi Illuminarti,

I apparently had an issue while browsing Github pages and it seems something went wrong on there.

I ended up downloading three different versions of Marlin which were exactly the same one in the end.

I then went back again to the link you provided and noticed a few discrepancies with the downloaded one i had, so i now downloaded it again and it seems working. I wonder if there was an issue on Github itself.

Feel free to delete this thread.
