This is a great project. I do not get how the movement of the fingers can then be controlled by the carrier, can you tell something about that.


have a look at some of the videos.

the neutral position is wrist flat.

when you bend the wrist forward this tensions the cables that bend the fingers (back of the hands gets further away from the brace that is on the arm.

Really simple mech that works well.

Bend the wrist back to neutral and the elastic pulls on the back of the fingers and they 'open'.

This is the 'core' design - variants are looking at push.pull and some users have made thicker nylon line work which pulls and then it's natural springiness opens the fingers out - so no elastic needed and less resistance to closing the hand.

So the whole design is developing very fast and branching out amazingly!
