UM HBK with PID?

Does anyone know if the heated bed kit from Ultimaker can be driven safely with PID controlling the temperature instead of bang-bang mode (as for the UM2)?

If they use the same as the UM2 and since the UM2 had both modes active with different firmware versions - I'd say yes.

The temperature of the HBK seems to hold pretty stable, so whatever they are doing seems to be working.
