Hello everyone!

I have encoundered this problem that you can see in the picture.

It is tottaly random. its on the first layer (obviously :p) and with a wide range of settings.

After 3rd layer the problem disappear. I'm thinking that the PLA is not sticking on the bed and/or the nozzle is dragging it around.

Did this happened to someone else also ?

What are your suggestions guys?

yes the feeder clicking meaning it's reversing from time to time because it's too close to bed causing it to have a hard time extruding. This could be the proof that your buildplate is just too close.

You can relevel while printing the brim it will be easier to spot when you're good :)

The layer would be more transparent if the build plate was too close to the nozzle. That said, it's possible that you are sill closer than what you should. If your initial layer is 0.2mm (example) than a line should be 2 times wider than its height.

The clicking sound mentionned by Didier is not a constant sound. Its suddent and only occur when making a step backward so its pretty easy to just look at the feeder to see iif it occur or not.

These lines could also be caused by the model itself. Too high density can cause this or its not rare for models made in Sketchup to have pretty bad topology on planar surfaces. If its the case the head would glitch or slowdown on those sections and could be causing this over extrusion.

hmm, I am making the model in Inventor 2014. Is there a way to check the density :S ??

its propably the bed leveling though. I going a bit further when leveling. More pressure-resistance when using the paper. You guys stop just when you feel the paper while leveling the buildplate?

I like to use the procedure described in post #5 since illuminarti schooled me on it.
