A cuckoo clock in my house recently had one of its plastic hands snap while being adjusted. Glue didn't hold up for long, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to use the Ultimaker to print replacement hands.

The broken hand looked like this:

I then scanned the parts, and used Inkscape to make a .dxf version of the image:

After a simple extrusion and running the model through Cura, The result is this:

I might paint this so it matches the original more closely, but it's otherwise good as new. The process was amazingly quick; from the time that the hand broke to the time it was put on the clock was just one and a half hours! :)
