Is it worth 400USD to order from Ultimaker Direct?

With the current exchange rate, even including shipping my total for an order of a Ultimaker 2 is 1968.12 Euro or 2121.94 USD.

I realize the price listed excludes VAT, but would it be safe to assume that since US orders are being fulfilled within the US (memphis?)

I realize many have headaches getting a shipment directly from UM, but has that been resolved? $400 buys alot of filament....

    Hi and welcome,

    Not sure about this, but i think you also pay taxes when you receive the printer if you order from outside the US? (Someone from US will clarify this).

    You also will probably have to wait longer for it to be delivered
