Ultimaker 2 - Broken wire

Hello everyone,

After doing the smartypants unmounting the nozzle, I damaged a wire of the hot end. So now, what ever I'll do, nothing will happen. If I ask the hot end to go to 250˚C, it will stay at 25˚C.

Anyway, that kind of thing happens, but I need to change the wire and I'm not sure the one I need to buy :

Is it this one : https://shop.ultimaker.com/product/62/PT100-B-sensor

Or this one : https://shop.ultimaker.com/product/58/Heater-Cartridge

I believe this is the heater cartridge because I have the temperature of the nozzle, but I can't heat it up. I just wanted to be sure before making a wrong order.

Here it's how it looks:

Thanks!

I would check PCB connection of heater cable. It is attached with screws, or "clips" if your UM2 is very new.

The heater cable is to the right in the photo.

That being said, the sensor cable looks "rotten" too, but hard to tell in photo.

The heater should have ca 23-24 ohm, The temp sensor ca 105-110 at "room" temp.

Try it, to rule them out, or in.

Here is another photo. It seems to be the sensor cable indeed. There is a black mark on the heater cartridge and it looks fine.

    Here another view:

I don't think it's come from the PCB connection, the cable looks damaged before this unmounting and the temperature got down during the cleaning when I was holding the nozzle with pliers.

    Thank you for you answer!
