Hello, everyone

I just got my Ultimaker 2 last week.

I have got some leaning prints, as see in the picture:

And I also get some good ones:

What confused me is that I can print cube (show in the picture) successfully just after printing a leaning one, without any adjusting.

Here are some more information:

The leaning problem only occurred on the direction from back of UM2 to front, or from front to the back.

I'm using Cura 15.02.1, with the latest firmware.

I'm using "Normal print" quickprint profile.

I'm using windows 8.1 x64.

Any comments are welcome, thanks.

    Thanks, @labern

I'm trying to fix this problem according your link.

And will give feedback after testing.

Another thing I want to mention here is that the screws of UM2 are really low-quality.

It's easy to slip when using hex wrenches (the edges are scuffed), and I'm doubting whether the screws are able to loose again.

Yes I agree that you need to be careful with the screws

The screws are not that bad but the allen keys that they supplied are low quality. dome head screws tend to strip easily as the hexagon hole isn't very deep so care needs to be taken.

    @labern

    Nice to see you online.

I have tried to open the extruder, but failed due to three of the four screws stripping.

Maybe need to buy some good ones to replace original ones, but don't know where to buy:angry:

Try using a Torx-driver instead, it grabs the screws fairly tightly even if they have been damaged.

      • S-Line Firmware 8.3.0 was released Nov. 20th on the "Latest" firmware branch.
(Sorry, was out of office when this released)

        This update is for...
        All UltiMaker S series
        New features

Temperature status. During print preparation, the temperatures of the print cores and build plate will be shown on the display. This gives a better indication of the progress and remaining wait time. Save log files in paused state. It is now possible to save the printer's log files to USB if the currently active print job is paused. Previously, the Dump logs to USB option was only enabled if the printer was in idle state. Confirm print removal via Digital Factory. If the printer is connected to the Digital Factory, it is now possible to confirm the removal of a previous print job via the Digital Factory interface. This is useful in situations where the build plate is clear, but the operator forgot to select Confirm removal on the printer’s display. Visit this page for more information about this feature.
