hello to all, I'm curious how to enhance control of the printer. As a proud user of an Ultimaker 2 extended + I like the experience of physically realizing 3D models from the computer. Now I want to dig deeper into the Ultimaker controls.
The circumstances:
I would really like to use the printer as a temporary case for small scale mechanical testing. The bed can be adjusted in height and provides an even, horizontal surface. Objects for testing could be glued to the glass plate, which can be exchanged when the printer should be used for printing again. The printer also covers and protects the equipment and it should be possible to realize reproducible circumstances.
So far, I was able to manually move buildplate and printhead to the desired positions, but this is hardly reproducible.
So I was wondering, whether I can set the build plate and printhead to fully custom positions, say the buildplate at 10 cm above its standard position and the printhead in the front left corner. I would like to save those, e.g. on the SD card, and apply it via the settings.

Is something like that possible?
I'm eagerly awainting you suggestions.
Thx a lot
