I just recieved an inductive sensor for my Ultimaker, and I am now wondering how I am going to connect it to the printer.
As far as I have figured out, there is no Z-min connector... I could swap it with the printers current Z endstop, and then from now on home to the top instead, using the probe.
I am however worried that this will risk the possible destruction of prints, as the printer will then move the bed upwards with finished printed parts.
I also assume I'm gonna have to switch from my current firmware (Tinkergnome's remixed UM2 firmware), to an original new copy of Marlin, as my current version does not seem to support the mesh leveling feature.
Any ideas as of how I can succeed at this, with the biggest likelyhood of success?
