My bad, sorry I misread your post in September where you referred to shafts which sucked(needed reordering) and you were expecting the couplers from China to be rubbish but they turned out ok.

Thanks for the info, I'll recheck around ebay a bit and try to find a local sender.

I really want to install this upgrade but struggling to find a decent supplier of flexible couplers here in Europe (don't really want to wait 4-6 weeks for delivery from US).

I read that some of the earlier ones Calum ordered where crap so was hoping that someone might have a link to something tried and tested.

[Help Switching from ABS to PLA]

Hi all and greets to everyone!

I just moved over to PLA from ABS and not quite sure how to feed it since it oozes out the tip a lot more than the ABS i'm used to.

The procedure I use is:

1) Heat up the machine to around 200+/-

2) Pull out the ABS filament

3) Feed in the PLA

4) Manually turn the feeder wheel until the ABS is gone and the PLA starts coming through

At this point, the PLA comes through the tip and keeps coming for minutes.

How do you know when it's ready to print?

Should I wait for the PLA to stop flowing out before printing? or just cooldown the machine immediately and start a new print from there later?
