  4. If youre milling with ISO coding, then i think i can help. I mainly use ISO on lathes though and not mills so i may be rusty, i use heidenhain on our mills at work. Anyway hope this helps If your circle is for instance 50mm diameter then this would be the coding to mill what you want G0 X0 Y0 (This is the centre of your circle) G0 Z1.0 F100 (Rapid to 1mm above the top of youre workpiece, with feed of 100) G1 K-1.0 (Incrementally move 1mm lower in Z) G1 X0 Y25.0 (Move up to perpendicular to your start point) G2 X0 Y-25.0 I0 J0 (Clockwise movement 180 degrees from where it is with the centre at your "start" point G2 X0 Y25 I0 J0 (Clockwise movement another 180 degrees back to where you started) G0 Z5.0 It kind of depends what youre cutting really, ideally you should radius onto the cutting path if possible for a nicer finish. Can you explain what youre wanting to do and i may be able to assist you better
  5. Imakr still have a waiting list but that dream 3d have 3 in stock. im literally gonna order mine right now and will have it by saturday with a bit of luck
  6. Ive been looking at 3D printers recently and have finally decided to buy one, mainly as i can justify it now for prototyping things rather than just printing random stuff Ive done a bit research and was torn between the Ultimaker 2 and the CubeX/Pro, the resolution and speed were big factors for the Ultimaker and the print envelope of the CubeX was also very tempting. Ive now made my decision after watching some reviews about both and im going to be buying the Ultimaker, The print envelope wasnt enough to overlook its other flaws where as i didnt find many bad things to say about the Ultimaker. Hopefully i will have made the right decision A bit about me, My names James and im from Chester-le-Street in Durham, im 29 and im a CNC Setter/Engineer by trade, i also do CAD Design mainly as a hobby but id like to get into it professionally if possible, I use Solidworks at the moment and will be making my models for printing with it hopefully. Mainly i will be printing prototype parts for use on my car/s which ill then machine once the prototype is a sucess, but will also be printing parts to hopefully make a little bit of money with. What programs do people recommend i get or will solidworks suffice? Thanks James
