I am working on a university project which is to seek possibilities to 'print' a bird feather. I did a lot of research on feathers and a bird feather is one of the strongest structure that you can find in its weight class.
Now comes the real point. Can we 'print' it? I had a SolidWorks model of a feather I created my self that need at lease 50 micron resolution to print it. Of cause, anything lower than 50 microns is a bonus.
Any contribution you made will be credited in my final dissertation and this cutting edge project would really exploit the rapid prototyping business in the current world.
If you think you could help me out please send me an email to kmat1g12@soton.ac.uk and we can discuss about the details. Any private message is welcome as well.
