[What Would You Like To See In An Ultimaker 3?]

Improvements for the UM3, in order of preference:

1. Use the superior Olsson heater block, so we can swap nozzles easily.

2. Make the heater block and nozzle FAR more accessible for maintenance.

3. An extruder drive which straightens the filament and wipes it prior to feeding it.

4. A more slippery, slightly larger bowden tube so the filament doesn't bind up inside.

5. A more slippery and structurally strong replacement for the white plastic piece in the print head. Soooo, tire of replacing it every time it deforms.

6. A live streaming web camera, Ethernet, WiFi, and Octoprint built into the printer, so we can monitor prints on our tablets and smartphones from the couch.

[Which 3D Design application do you use?]

I've used a bunch. I settled on DesignSpark Mechanical for a while, which is free and very powerful. Within the past couple of weeks, I have started learning to use Fusion 360, now that I have a free license for it. It seems to be quite good, so far.

[E3D Head for UM2, possible?]

People have had bad luck with all metal head.  PLA sticks to it too easily and it is even a more pain in the neck than replacing the white teflon part.  Instead consider getting an i2k at my store (and some of those teflon parts):

I installed one of the Olsson blocks a couple days ago (from PrintedSolid) and it is already far more dependable than the stock block was. I looked at your store and saw .4 mm jet nozzles. Are those for the Olsson block? I did see several things I'd like to pick up at your store, when they're in stock.

[E3D Head for UM2, possible?]

Is there anywhere that gives specific instructions on how to get the E3D v6 mounted and running on an Ultimaker 2? I'm soooo sick of replacing the thermoplastic piece on the stock print head every time it melts/deforms from running at 250C. Every time it deforms, the drive mechanism stalls out trying to push filament through it.
