  1. How to change the retraction setting to make it better?

And how to avoid it without slow the print speed?

yes if you want to avoid strings then reduce the print temp it will be better

Maybe slow the print speed to 30 - 40mm/s

  2. The retraction setting is length 5 and speed 40

    Is that a retraction issue?

Yes, it's PLA, and temp is 230

Also the travel speed is 250..

Hi more details could be usefull!

I guess you are annoyed by the strings...

Is it PLA? if yes reduce the temp to 210°c 230°c is a lot!

    Make sure retractions are enabled

Maybe increase travel speed to 250mm/s

  4. I tried several times cleaning nozzle, but it doesn't work.

Also I test PTFE Coupler, I can use material to get through without any resistance.

I am so confused about solving this issue.

Yeah the feeder skipping back will cause under-extrusion in the area that it skipped back.

It normally skips back if the speed is to high for the temp. Or if there is something causing to much pressure built up like a blocked nozzle or deformed PTFE Coupler.

Try a few Atomic pulls to clean the nozzle as well.

  5. Usually, 50-70mm/s.

I find the main issue is the feeder wheel will go back sometimes.

The Main Cause of this is the PTFE coupler. (the white part under the sprint in the hotend.)

After a while It starts deforming and causes under-extrusion.

The way to see if this is an issue it to remove it and visually inspect it.

It could be that you are just trying to print to fast. What speed are you printing at?

another cause could be incorrect feeder tension / slipping.

I would suggest you read THIS and THIS

Since I had Ultimaker2, the printed stuff always has the issue of over hangs. I'm so confused how to set software to get a smooth surface? I had tried to turn down the temperature to 185, and increase the volume of fan speed to 200%.

    But it seems don't work.

Here is my setting in cure.

    temperature: 200-205

    layer height: 0.1

    print speed: 40

    travel speed: 120
