  1. Thanks Titus and Sanderv! Excited to hear some team members might see it. I picked Ultimaker because making videos takes so much time I didn't want to have to fiddle with the printer. So far I've been really happy with it!
  2. I used my Ultimaker to make a laser effect called "Laser Sky." The heart of the mechanism is a spinning multi-sided mirror. People often take apart laser printers to get such a mirror, but I was able to get pretty good results printing one from scratch. Please enjoy a process video which includes concept, printing, wiring, programming, and assembly: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=https://youtu.be/vYmv8dOtOBA
  3. Thanks! I used the default PLA settings except I bumped the temperature up to 225 from 220.
  4. Thanks Nico! I was using Colorfabb PLA/PHA. I saved the silver that shipped with the device because I think that looks really nice for detailed models.
  5. I just got my Ultimaker 2+ and made a video montage of my first real project. It's a room divider to hide the water heater in my garage, and I printed the brackets to hold the doors up. Super happy with the ease of use of the printer, All the tuning I did was clean the bed and do the bed leveling procedure. After I put in the 0.8mm nozzle I can make some SOLID parts.
