I have an issue with Cura Gcodes on a home made P3steel printer with smoothieware firmware. My homing of all axis is performed correctly. When I move any axis from the jog it goes in the proper direction but when I execute Cura 2.3.1 prepared Gcode my print head smash into the bed. In Cura settings I have chosen my printer as Prusa i3 which is the same in mechanics as my P3steel. I made a check and made a Gcode with use of Craftware slicer and this was executed in the right direction of Z axis. Therefore I assume it is not matter of firmware on the printer. Of course Ultimaker printers have different construction where the bed is moving instead of print head. Maybe this is causing some issue. I could not find any any answer on the web.
