I'm a brand newbie to the Cura world. I've been using Slic3r in the past.
I'm trying to see if Cura fixes some printing errors I get with Slic3r and I can't seem to print with Cura.
I've chosen the Mendel90 printer, it doesn't recognise it via USB. I've read a few articles about setting up the Mendel90 in Cura, but they're old. And now that there is a printer in the list called Mendel90 I'd assume they're no longer applicable anyhow.
When I slice the STL with Cura my mendel90 prints blobs of plastic. Large blobs, in the middle of the correct lines in the bottom layer of the shape. It's clearly way out of alignment somehow. I've printed out the same STL, using Slic3r and this Mendel90, with no real issues (besides some mysterious lines, from what I assume is the slicing errors). There certainly hasn't been any blobs. I've put in the same temperature, infill, layer height, etc settings....
Cura with my mendel90 are printing blobs of plastic

Hello everyone!
I'm a brand newbie to the Cura world. I've been using Slic3r in the past.
I'm trying to see if Cura fixes some printing errors I get with Slic3r and I can't seem to print with Cura.

If anyone can help, I'd be very grateful.
Thank you.
