  1. I have exactly the same problem now but didn't have it when first using the printer. It has only become apparent recently. I found out that in the g code for printing any model where the last layer of a support has finished and it has to swap to T0 (from whichever extruder is used for the support), there is a line of code in there before the switch, that turns off the hot end heat value, so that neither extruder will move because it cannot force the filament through the now cold hot end. If that line (M104 S0) is removed, printing continues as normal. That line tells the hot end to be set to 0 degrees. I had to search all the way through the actual g code text file to find the problem line. I would like to know why it has only just started to get inserted by the slicer software? Do I have to alter every g code file that changes from one extruder to another when using a prime tower that finishes before the model is completed? Is it a bug?

  2. I updated/installed my version of Cura 4.8.0 on the 1st December 2020 and have found a few things that I have noticed;

    Whilst going through a YouTube video, explaining about using the colour mixing facility on a recently purchased Geetech A20M, it states that you should be able to add more extruders in the machine settings options. However, on the version I am using it is set at a fixed number of 2 only. Has this facility been omitted/scrapped? Is there a more current version of Cura?

    Also, is there a written step by step explanation of how to use the colour mixing plug in "ColorMix 2-1 V1.2.1" It seems very obscure how to use it from the information given within the plug in itself?

    Thanks In Advance

    Dan.

  3. I have just installed the latest Cura 4.4.1 application and have a question regarding the new “Intent” Profiles. Are they only available/compatible with users of Ultimaker 3D Printers?

    The reason I am asking is because they do not appear to show anywhere in the version that I have just installed. I have a Prusa i3 Mk2 printer and use it for making sample parts for

    model engineering projects, which I design in Fusion 360. If they are included in this installation would you please explain how/where to access them?

    Kindest Regards,

  4. Thanks for the answer. After adding the script, what do I do then? How do I use it? Does it appear in the Plug-ins option?

    Sorry to seem a little pedantic but a bit more explanation would help......

    Will try adding it later and see if I can work it out myself......

    Kindest Regards, Dan.

  5. Hi All. I'm a newcomer to this site and previously used Cura Version 14 as supplied with my Hictop self-build kit and have found it very easy to use.

    I have a few questions/observations regarding the update to Cura 3.2.1. (I installed it because every time I now start the previous version a dialog box pops up asking if I want to upgrade....)

    First; How do I stop the dialog box from appearing on the previous version, which I still use, each time it starts?

    Also, I only have a single extruder on my machine and I installed a plug-in to allow me to pause the print at a set layer height to enable a change to another colour filament, which gave me the ability to make a 2 colour job. I tried to find the same plug-in on your site to use with the new Cura, but was unable to find it. Is there a way of doing this within the new Cura, and if so, how is it achieved?

    Have to go now but may ask more questions when time permits.

    Kindest Regards.....
