  1. I had trouble with Cura crashing at startup.  I was able to determine that my display card (external laptop display dongle) was the cause.  Maybe check your video drivers are up to date and/or display settings etc...  You can check the event viewer (control panel, administration, event viewer) to look for errors.  The error will be mostly gobble-de-gook but it may give you a hint as to the source of the problem.

  2. I am having a somewhat similar problem.  But I don't get any prompts.  It just dies a few seconds after attempting to run.  It is faulting in KERNALBASE.DLL.
