I came from Cura 3.x and upgraded to Cura 4.0.0 (Windows version), Fortunately the upgrade retains profiles/settings from the previous version.
It took s little tinkering to get Octoprint to work again. Here's what i did:
1. Download the plugin ( https://community.ultimaker.com/topic/25967-plugins-for-cura-40-beta/?do=findComment&comment=232358 )
2. Open Cura 4.0
3. Drag the downloaded file into the running Cura program
4. You will be prompted that the plugin will be installed after restarting the program.
5. After restarting Cura, open the marketplace to check that the octoprint plugin is installed.(The marketplace button is in the top right corner of the application main window)
6. Go to preferences, printers and select your printer, then click the "Connect to Octoprint" button
7. I had to re-enter (copy paste) the API key to trigger the API validation process.
8. Click the Connect button
9. Load an STL and slice it. Now you should see a button 'Print with Octoprint' in the lower right corner.
I hope this helps.
