I am utilizing an ultimaker 2+ for a research project. I am interested in printing an object that has both brittle and flexible parts (it will be a flexible strip for swabbing surfaces, with a section in the middle that can snap apart). I would imagine some filaments adhere to one another better than others. Any advice on printing with multiple types of filament: which ones go well together, how to get a good print, etc.? We do not have a dual extrusion setup/extension, but if this seems promising we would buy one.
