I have been having this issue for roughly the past year now myself. Specifically with Cura Crashing after attempting to make a setting change or clicking the sidebar header at all. After finding this thread I began to systematically remove then add back each file from C:\Users\YOURUSERID\AppData\Roaming\cura\4.2 and found that specifically, at least for me, that the cura.cfg file was the file preventing Cura from opening and not any of the printer specific files. I continued withing my cura.cfg began removing some of the config data and found that once I removed any setting that pertained to the window size, position, or mode and found that to fix my problem. Thought this might be nice to share to help prevent individuals from having to rebuild "corrupt" machine files.
