  1. My S5 printer feeder1 is not feeding during print process,  even though the print head is going through the motions.   The stepper motor is working since it does load and unload the filament properly.   I have the latest firmware installed as of June 6 2023.     The printer is the one with the robot picture on the side.   From the tag, the model number is 202256,  serial number is BPP-015821-056631.

I tried to submit a ticket but could not-  there was an error message on the website.

I tried making feeder 2 and print head 2  active (disabling feeder 1 from Cura) and printing from there but the Cura software does not allow that.  WHY???? any way to bypass this?

  2. I  turned the flow sensor off and ran the print overnight,  sure enough I could see in the morning a problem with the PVA.  It's still running now, and has another 4 hours to go.  The PVA is stringing all over the place, and I'm sure its because of humidity.  The reel has been sitting open for a week mounted to the back of the printer.    I think the print will be OK, but still,   real extra care has to be taken with the PVA to prevent this.  I didn't realize it would be so sensitive to humidity.

Should standard procedure be to unmount the reel every day and store in a bag with the moisture absorbant?

  3. We have two new Ultimaker S5 machines,  which comes with PLA and PVA.  When doing the XY calibration the X calibration patterns is present for both PLA and PVA, but the Y pattern there is only PLA.  The PVA is not printing in that direction.   This is happening with BOTH new printers.  It is not humid and the materials are new straight from the bag.  Any thoughts?
