Is it possible to have a reliable connection between a PC and an ultimaker 3 with a LAN cable without the use of a router?
Situation is as follows: Ultimaker in a university bulding, no connection on network possible due to firewall/security. Therefore, I would like to connect the printer to a laptop which runs teamviewer, which I can then view from remote locations.
Would it be necessary to use a router on this setup? I am currently unable to get a connection between laptop and printer, the assigned printer IP is different than the IP shown on the printer. I cannot connect to the printer IP. Would I need a router to assign IPs or is there a way which enables direct connection?
