[How do I add my Printer's logo to the Cura 'bed'?]

Figured it out.

 

Two things have to happen:

 

- an STL measuring X x Y x 3mm (for Z) has to be created and stored in the C:\Program Files\Ultimaker Cura 4.7\resources\meshes directory

 

- the printer definition json has to have a line added called "platform": "filename_of_stl" added in the metadata section.

I've seen folks add custom graphics for their particular printer to the Cura 'bed' but I cannot see to find instructions on how to do this - is there a Forum post, wiki or other resource that tells me where to put files that I want to appear on the 'bed' of my Cura software?

[Cura Hangs after Multiply operation - reaches 100%]

Good morning,

 

I am running Cural 4.6.1 on Windows 7 Home 64bit, Intel Core i7 @ 3.47 GHz 20 GB RAM.

 

When I use the multiply operation and create multiple new objects (in this case 39 new small objects), Cura hangs at 100% of the operation. I eventually have to use Task Manager to kill the application and the engine.

 

Are there any settings to improve the operation and prevent the hang?

Hello,

 

I recently installed Cura 4.5 with no Arduino support. I also run control software that interfaces to my Amateur Radio transceiver that uses COM port 8 via USB UART Bridge Drivers (Silicon Labs).

 

When Cura 4.5 starts - it puts the transceiver into transmit mode, meaning it sends some sort of signal on the USB Com port that the radio interprets as 'go into TX mode'. If I close Cura, it releases control and the radio reverts to normal operation.

 

Is there a reason Cura is hitting the USB ports? I have one printer installed but it is set as an offline printer (just to output gcode to an SD card) and the printer is not physically attached to the computer. Is there a way to disable this behavior or is it intrinsic and required?
