I am also having a similar issue. I can't enable or change retraction settings at all, I get the "This setting has been hidden by the active machine" message. I have a Creality Ender 3 Pro and all the prints generated with Simplify3D(IE: The gcode that comes from the factory) seems to print with exception quality. I have sliced many other models with cura and they simply look like garbage. Even with other profiles all of them have tremendous problems with stringing and blobs. This led me to look at retraction settings and realizing that retraction settings are probably disabled. This is confirmed by watching the prints with severe stringing and noticing that the extruder never really retracts. At least not near the 10mm other gcode is doing. I am using the latest Cura (4.6.1) and I am having tremendous issues with printing using cura vs other slicers. Any help would be appriciated in this matter. I love Cura but this is kind of a deal breaker for me. (FYI I am not hooked up over USB, I simply load my gcode on the included SD Card. )
HELP! setting not visible.
