I'm printing a huge part, most of which is just a bulk cylinder with some simple internal structures. However, the outer surface is very curvilinear (imagine a vase) and should be as smooth as you can get.
I'm using one of the big Modix printers (Big meter), and the printing time for the whole part at 0.1mm layer height exceeds 11 days... Adaptive layers don't help, as the outer surface is shaky all along the part. Infill is already at maximum, and it cannot be just hollow.
Can I set up two different layer thicknesses for two of my nozzles: say, for the 0.4 one goes with 0.1mm layer height for the nice outer wall, and then every 4th layer the 0.8 nozzle fill up the remaining volume at one go?
