Was this issue ever resolved? I have essentially the exact same issue with R5.2.1
I am about 2mm off the baseplate, and am now about to start a small overhang but when I do it is trying to start the print from the inside rather than extending out from the existing print.

I am about 2mm off the baseplate, and am now about to start a small overhang but when I do it is trying to start the print from the inside rather than extending out from the existing print.
As a result I am just getting strings of horror.
