I have a problem, that my supports start to print with second layer only. In the mean time, it slips from the bed, since it is printed in mid air... Is there a way to set Cura to generate the support starting from the first layer?
thanks!

It is probably too late for you, but it will surely help someone else.
Open the Preferences window, click the Settings tab. In the Support section, check Support Z Distance. Change the value down to 0.0mm.
The support will now start on the first layer.
The first fix didn't actually work for me and is probably not something that you want to change as it can let the supports adhere to the actual print. What did fix it for me was disabling the option "enable support brim" after that all my supports would print on the first layer. I don't know why this problem just radomly started for me, I've used cura supports for a few years and never ran into this issue until today.
