Hello forum, I am doing a little off the books research for a design study related project and was wondering if anyone here could help me out. I have read about the technology as a whole and of course focused more on 3d desktop printing units, their capabilities, origin, future and of course the community behind it. Since the community in the city i live in seems undetectable i felt like this was the best way to get some first hand information. Specifically I would like to find out for one what exactly it is that interests you in 3d printing (the final product, the process, the software, the experimenting, community ?) for the second, whether there is something related to the hobby use of a 3d printer that would be beneficial for the user. for example a soundproof box, a stable table, special racks for parts, or a new application for exchange of knowledge, designs.. this is only to give an example but i hope you will let your creativity splurge.
