[Disable plugins in 15.01?]

Hello,

I can't find a way to remove the enabled plugins in Cura 15.01... help! There doesn't seem to be any 'X' button anymore.

8 degrees? That's cold! Are you printing outside? What country are you in (please update your profile to indicate country in case you ever ask a question where the answer depends on the country)?

 

I'm actually in the UK - and it wasn't 8 degrees, just an inaccurate reading

Thank you all. I move it around and couldn't get any readings - it was stuck at 8 degrees.

Fiddled with the connector since it seems quite flimsy, but no joy. In the end, switching the the alternate cable solved it, so there must be a weakness somewhere else along the cable. I pushed the heat-shrinked black tube through a bit more to ease stress and for now I've got it working, so I'm happy.

[UM1 randomly heats up to MAXTEMP error during print, burns & smoke]

Hello I've got a UM1 that I use to print PLA at 220 degrees with Cura as my slicer.

Sometimes, for no apparent reason the temperature gets hotter than 220 and heats all the way up until the Ultimaker shuts down with a MAXTEMP error.

It causes the PLA to burn and release smoke, which is worrying because I am in a building with over 500 people in; we have a shared fire alarm system. I don't want to be responsible for causing the evacuation of 500 people!

Any ideas, or need anymore details? I hope someone can shed some light on this.

[Skewed/leaning Prints]

So here's the same piece after adjusting the pulleys and although it is definitely better it's still skewed.

This is a shot of the belt post-adjustment. It's still close, but definitely not touching as far as I can see now.

There is one thing of note that happens to the belt during printing and I have recorded a video of it here:

 

As the motor's direction changes the belt twists, is it possible that this could be causing excess friction?

Any other suggestions?

[Skewed/leaning Prints]

Thanks a lot both I've tried some silicone spray on the rods (this OK since there is apparently a self-lubricating bearing?) and I've moved both stepper pulleys away from the frame. There was definite rubbing since there were marks where the bands had rubbed on the wooden frame. I'm just reprinting the piece posted above so I'll let you know how I get on.

[Skewed/leaning Prints]

Hello,

 

I have an Ultimaker 1 that has been relatively trouble free until suddenly I'm getting skewed/leaning prints.

 

 

 

I spotted a loose pulley and tightened that up (but I think it was on an axis not relevant to this problem)... I can't see any other loose pulleys.

 

Any ideas what might be causing it?

This image shows the orientation of the lean on the Ultimaker.. X Axis?

I am searching for an input device similar to the rotary wheel/button on the Ulticontroller for a project I am working on, but am having trouble finding one.

Does anyone know what they actually called?
