Does anyone know if there will be an upgrade package to upgrade my Ultimaker 2+ to an Ultimaker 3?

Ultimaker 2+: When I go to print, there is a period of time when the heatbed will heat up before the printing actually starts. During this process, I get a high pitch alarm noise that lasts for about 15-30 seconds and then stops. Does anyone know what that is indicating?

It looks like Dynamism where you found the cover sells the replacement filters for $79 according to their site. I haven't gotten to the point of needing to replacement filter yet.
Being that this thing is so expensive and can't find it anywhere except at Dynamism I want to get a spare in case they stop carrying this thing. Printing my first ABS from last night. No odor at all and temps inside are maintained perfectly. So far I'm impressed. I will post the link here as to where to get the filter from Dynamism as soo as I can find it. Thanks!

Definitely not made by Ultimaker, but I have to say, I have one, and I like it so far. It's similar to the designs on YouMagine. In fact, the black plastic parts are printed in ABS. But it has a fan and filter up in the corner. So far, I've been using it for about 2 weeks for high temperature materials on a UM2+. I appreciate not having to smell any ABS while I work.
Thank you for the feedback! I'm taking delivery of mine today. They talk about replacement HEPA Filters. Do you know where we get these from?

This kit is not made by ultimaker.

Has anyone heard of this new Cover Kit for the Ultimaker 2 and Ultimaker 2+. I have it on order from my local reseller but didn't see it on the Ultimaker official website. I'm wondering if this is an after market piece.

Many um people are on this forum but for parts you need to ask um resellers. They stoped direct sales.

Sorry, I don't know a particular reseller, I just figured if you mentioned where you were from someone else might.
The part number is 1158 according to my lists. Strange he wouldn't have access to the same lists as a reseller. But it could simply be that Ultimaker don't have any left as the long one was phased out. I can't remember the last time we ordered any as it isn't exactly a "hot" item.
But I dunno, like you said, the one you printed works and you don't even see it, so why bother?

Ugh. The spool holder I made broke. It is way too fragile. Trying another author. I'm really hoping Ultimaker still stocks part # 1158. Does Ultimaker ever join this blog for comment?

Yeah, you can probably find a reseller that has one of the older, longer ones (where are you located?). Or if you ask Ultimaker directly real nice they might be able to help you out.

My reseller said he does not have a part number for such a piece so he couldn't order one if I wanted it. I sure wished I could find someone that would sell me this item.

I have started to use a filament that comes on spools that the spool hole is 3/4" deeper. Therefore they will not fit on the standard spool holder that is delivered with the Ultimaker 2+. I was able to find a 70mm Spool Holder to print and it works perfectly but did not print so well. Fortunately I don't have to look at it because it is behind the printer. Does anyone know if Ultimaker makes other Spool Holders that are 70mm deep that can be purchased?

Okay now I feel really foolish and need some help. I JUST received my Ultimaker 2+ and printing PLA directly on the glass bed. I was not aware of using Kapton Tape. Am I going to have troubles removing my finished print from the glass? What is the best way to remove it now that I messed up and printed directly onto the glass? In the future should I be using Kapton tape when printing PLA on my Ultimaker 2+?

I am in the same exact situation and that is why I was truly hoping for an upgrade path as Ultimaker provided others to go from the Ultimaker 2 to the Ultimaker 2+. I too made a serious investment in the Ultimaker 2+ and have not used it many times and would have like to see me be able to maintain my investment. Please Ultimaker reconsider and offer an upgrade option.
