Sorry for replying about 2 weeks later, but thank you for the advice.

My college's physics department has an Ultimaker 2 3D printer for constructing odd apparatus components. Currently, if we power the buildplate heating element the lights flicker for a second and the machine powers down and restarts. We have replaced the buildplate and the motherboard, and have checked the wires linking the two for short circuits. We believe it to be a power supply issue but we are not entirely sure. Does anyone know where the problem might be and how to fix it?
