I will answer my topic myself ;-) well, just installed https://github.com/TinkerGnome/Ultimaker2Marlin/releases/tag/V16.03.1 and everything seems to be fine now with that great alternative firmware.

Hi! I recently purchased the Ultimaker 2 Extrusion upgrade kit, installed it in my UM2 and very glad with it. however, i just recognized that since the firmware upgrade to 15.04.5 that i was supposed to do straight before using my UM2+ the build plate temperature now can be set only to a maximum of 100°C. Well, I am using a permanent build plate cover sheet which requires a temperature of approx. 112°C for optimal stickiness of ABS. the menu on the printer does allow only a max. of 100°C and even if using simplify3d any attempt to set higher temperature than 100°C does not exceed this magic threshold now. does anyone have a hint for me, how to shift this limiting threshold? thanks a lot in advance!
