I've experienced this three times. It doesn't happen all the time. When it does happen, I just print the same file out and the problem doesn't occur. Happens with both PLA and ABS. In the image, note that the socket on the left has the missing z line, while the one on the right, which I reprinted, does not. I'm currently reprinting the box, so I don't have that to compare. So, it can't be a problem with the file since I use the same file. It can't be a problem with the extruder or filament, because it's always exactly one z line, no sputtering, nothing that would indicate partial extrusion. It has to be a glitch in the firmware. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this, and if so, Ultimaker should probably look into it.
