Up till now PET has survived undamaged and unwarped in my car, even in our recent very hot summers with Mediteranean weather, quite unusual for Belgium. Contrary to PLA that even did not survive a mild spring or autumn sun. I think PET can have around 80°C?

If you would need it for autoclaving and desinfecting at 140°C, that would be a different story.

yes i will try it. general i order every filament people suggest me here to test it.

But if the part only has to withstand the hot car, then ABS or ColorFabb HT will do as well.
If your car gets 90° in the summer, then I think you have completely different problems.  🙂

I tried ABS in past and i felt it was very difficult for me to use it. Most of the parts goes with problem in corners.

No other material properties are important?

Where are you located (shipping rates)?

Another example that prints at lower temperatures:

Thank you . i am in greece . I dont care for other properties , most of items i print is for fishing and drones. My problem is when i forget pla on the car in sunny days i found them melt. Thats the reason i need something more resistant.

  3. Last days tried to print with this high temperature filaments as i need something to can handle my cars temperature without melting. Unfortunatlelly the prints from this material comes out very sensitive and break very easy. Maybe the problem is i use 260C and maybe need more (280c). Does anyone know away to print right with this material or a way to use more than 260 on my ultimaker 2 extended + ?

I print with recomended from colorfabb settings (except temperature use 260 and they need 250-280)

    Thank you.
