Cheers for the info dude Finally fixed it after much fiddling. Decided to take the feeder off and found out instantly what the problem was. The cog on the end of the motor had slipped back, so only the face of the teeth on the motor cog was touching against the face of the teeth on the feeder, so when pressure was being exerted the cogs would just slip. pulled the cog back out so the teeth met up and now it is perfect

Hi there I have an ultimaker 2+ and an Ultimaker 2+ extended Both of these were originally non + models that I brought the kits for and upgraded. My issue is that the ultimaker 2+ prints with no issues at all and the 2+ extended was printing fine and without changing anything it is now having huge issues with the filament slipping and not being drawn through. If I use the same settings on both printers, printing the same file, using the same roll of filament, the 2+ prints fine and the 2+ extended just struggles to pull the filament though. I have tried adjusting the screw to no avail, it just seems like it is not gripping on the knurled bolt inside. Help would be greatly appreciated please

Yeah it was a pain, had the same on my other Ultimaker 2 as well. Also am using your low friction spool and uprated filament guide, great work

Finally managed to remove it Took the motor down to the garage, clamped up the bolt in a vice and used a punch and mallet. I have no idea why it was stuck on there so tight. Swapped it for a mk8 driver gear and so far am impressed with the results over the knurled bolt

Hi there It is a Um2 extended I loosened the grub screw and completely removed it, but for the life of me even with pliers I cannot remove the knurled bolt, I have tried shocking it and using penetrating spray. Should it literally just pull off? Thank you in advance
