Okay, so this sounds like voodoo to me..... Is it a case of simply adding my new firmware into the correct folder then renaming the (new) file to that of the original firmware?

Hi folks, I've just fitted a Bondtech extruder, and an Olsson block kit to my Ultimaker 2. I now need to change the firmware to suit the new extruder. I've been using Cura 2.x until now because I cannot get any earlier versions of Cura to run on my laptop (just freezes on the opening banner). Unfortunately Cura 2.x doesn't allow for custom firmware.... What can I do to get the new firmware into the printer? Is there a workaround? I'm no computer or code expert, so don't know how to edit code etc. I've also got a copy of Simplify3d if that's an option Thanks in advance Simon
