  1. Well guys, it looks like I need a geek more advanced than me....

I completely wiped out 2.7 and rebooted.

Installed the new 3.0.3 version and it "STILL" won't run.

Nothing loads not even the start up splash screen.

As I said in the beginning, This is a Toshiba Laptop with a brand

new hard drive and a 'factory' restore using their restore disks.

(OS is: Windows 7 Home Premium)

Then did all the updates from both Windows and Toshiba.

So some where there's a problem that I can't find.

  2. Well guys,

I'm done it all several times over with no luck.

But I did notice one thing that doesn't make sense

The download file name clearly says that it's 2.7 and that it's

64 bit..... BUT after it's installed it says that it installed

    the 32 bit version.

    What's up with that?!?!?!1

  3. What version did work? If a normal re-install doesn't work than a 'clean' re-install is a good way to go.

You could try to look in the log-files $User/AppData/Roaming/cura/2.7/ if there are error's

Roaming/cura/2.7 was blank... the only folder in there was plugins and that was empty.

This is what I found in APPDATA/Local/Cura/stderr

    Fatal Python error: Segmentation fault

  4. OK Guys,

    Here's where I'm at now.

    I've downloaded Cura 3 times. (Ver 7)

    Installed/uninstalled 3 times from 'each' d/l

Deleted files and folders as suggested in another post.

Changed all the permissions to run in Admin Mode.

And nothing works... Cura will not run... not even a splash screen

    What I'm thinking of trying:

    Use Windows uninstall

then clean out APPDATA/ROAMING/LOCAL of any files/folders left behind.

then RegEdit and clear out anything pointing to Cura.

    then try another install.

Anybody got any other ideas I could try?!?!?!
