  1. Somehow I've missed it. What should I be looking for?
  2. I had an idea the other day for speeding up prints drastically and it doesn't seem anybody building slicers is doing it... Since infill and support areas don't benefit from very thin layer heights, wouldn't it be possible to speed up printing of objects by printing the shell and infill/supports with two different layer thicknesses? For example, printed the shell at 0.05mm, but the infill and support could be printed at 0.2mm every fourth layer, skipping the other three? So three layers of just the walls/top/bottom at 0.05mm, then a fourth layer of the shell (also at 0.05mm) as well as a thicker (0.2mm) layer for support material? Or some variation on this idea? As far as I can tell this should be possible, but nobody that I can find has implemented it as a feature. There are possible implementation details that would have to be taken into consideration (say, for example, a wall slants inward, preventing access to the infill area below it), but I wonder if this is worth looking into?
