  1. I have a model that *just* fits in the build area when I don't generate support but the build area is reduced by a couple of millimetres when generate support is checked.  The model only actually needs support in a small area in the centre of the printer so technically it is printable but I can't get the model to fit to allow cura to slice it to see that it does fit....

As an aside, this is a model I used to print in previous Cura - is the area reduction a new feature of 3.6?

Back to the important question, please could someone explain the best way to convince Cura to slice this model?

    Thank you!

  2. Sorry - my bad!

  3. I have 3 S5 printers and I used to be able to connect to all three of them in Cura 3.4 but in Cura 3.5 (and 3.5.1) I can only connect to printer #2 and as soon as I try to connect to #1 or #3 then the program crashes.

I've uninstalled 3.4 and 3.5 but no joy.

Any idea what I can do to get things going smoothly again?

This is all on Windows 10 by the way.

    Cheers!

  4. I'm printing some parts that are the fairing for a submersible robot.  They will be under quite a bit of pressure and I don't want any air pockets.  It got me wondering, are 100% infill parts truly 100%? Does the molten filament fill any gaps on previous layers or will there be some gaps?  It isn't critical if the pieces deform a bit underwater but it would be nice to put my mind at rest that it'll only be small deformities (or not!)

    Thanks,

    Toby
