I found the solution. The depreciated syntax, for timesyncd.conf, Servers=<address>" works just fine while "NTP=<address>" does not work with the version of systemd-timesyncd.service that is on the UM3. I hope this helps someone who is behind a corporate firewall.

I want to change the address of the NTP servers that the UM3 uses to sync time/date. The entries in timesyncd.conf are being overwritten by a config which has precedence and is pointing the UM3 to debian.pool.ntp.org. Can someone point me to the file which has these address so I can change to servers that I can communicate with?
