If I rename cura.cfg and restart (fooling it into thinking it's my first login), it works the first time.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. Cura decided to hang again this morning. The log file seems to suggest that there is a timeout waiting to autodetect Baud rate. As I don't have my printer connected (an Ender Creality 3 Pro using OctoPrint on a networked Raspberry Pi 4), I guess that it will try and wait forever! stderr.log

After much gnashing of teeth, I uninstalled again, and went searching in the user Appdata local and romaing folders and removed all traces of any Cura settings. This seems to have solved the issue for now.

Has anyone experienced crashing issues with either 4.6.2 or 4.7? This started just a couple of days ago, after using the slicer successfully for a few weeks. The opening screen loads up, reports that it is opening the UI, launches the main window, which just stays blank! I reinstalled. Same thing. Uninstalled and removed all configuration files, then reinstalled. Worked 1st time round. Crashed shortly after creating and saving 1st slice. restarting program, UI hangs again. Installed 4.7 beta. Same behaviour. Any tips anyone?
